Energy economizing is still running propagandized various people within all side of world. All of us, as computer users, can be involved to contribute to this global program.  Small thing that can be done is using hibernate feature in computer.

What is the hibernate feature?   Hibernate as a word has a meaning that is temporary sleeping in a long time. Not far from that, hibernate feature is a mode which is a facility to do shut down on computer or notebook, but do not close or shut down the applications which was running before.

When Windows XP was launched a couple years ago, this feature has been included. But of course the capability was not more sophisticated than Windows 7. In Windows 7, it has been completed by some choices which can be used, start from a clock arrangement, and a day arrangement up to a date arrangement.

As a computer user who need a quick work and an efficiency. It will be useful and really suggested especially for notebook and netbook users. You can use it to be reminder. For The example, to remind you to get lunch at rest time when you are working. The computer will be shut down or hibernation suddenly. When you finish your rest and turn on the computer, it will show your previous work. So, it is no necessary to spend a lot of time to looking for your previous work to the storage data.

Now, how to set this feature to be working? For laptop type, you can set it from command prompt program or the menu on the desktop. In Command prompt, the methods are clicking Run menu or pressing Win and r on keyboard at the same time, and then typing cmd word. Make sure that you are login as administrator. After those, type powercfg/hibernate on at Command Prompt box and push Enter button.

In Desktop PC, you can also activate hibernate feature by login as administrator and then you should click Start Windows 7 then Control Panel then Hardware and Sound. The next step, click Power Options and choose Balanced (Recommended) then click Change Plan Settings then Change Advanced Power Setting and last click Sleep. After all of those, just choose hibernate type you want and click Ok. Now the Hibernate Feature is working.
